Petoriez

A multi-vendor pet marketplace — grooming services and pet products from vendors near you, with a Flutter app for shoppers and a Laravel platform running vendors, orders, and fulfilment.

The challenge

A marketplace has to work for three parties at once. Pet businesses — groomers, product sellers — need to register, list, and get paid without a developer holding their hand. Shoppers need to see the vendors actually near them, not a national catalogue they can't buy from. And the operator in the middle needs to approve vendors, control the catalogue, price delivery, run promotions, and know what every rupee did. Petoriez needed all three built, not just the storefront.

Our approach

The shopper app is Flutter, on a location-first flow: the app asks for an area before it asks for anything else, so the stores a person browses are the ones that can actually serve them. Sign-up is optional — guest checkout is there for people who want to buy before they commit to an account — and a wallet holds promotional credit that comes off at checkout.

One decision shaped the cart: an order belongs to a single store. It costs a little basket size, and it buys clean vendor accountability — every order lands with one vendor who owns it end to end, rather than a split parcel nobody is responsible for.

The vendor and operator side is a Laravel platform. Vendors register through a web form and wait on approval; every product they list is queued for approval too, inside the categories the admin allows them. Around that sits delivery pricing per vendor by period or order value, per-vendor promo codes with validation rules, brands, banners across nine placements on web and mobile, wallets, an automated rewards engine, and role-based access for the internal team.

Fulfilment is where the platform stops being software and touches the street. A confirmed order prints a shipping label carrying a unique QR code. The pickup agent scans that code before taking the parcel, which triggers an OTP to the vendor; the vendor confirms, and only then does the parcel go out for delivery. Two parties, two independent confirmations, one auditable handover.

The outcome

Petoriez runs as a working marketplace: vendors self-register and are approved, products flow through moderation into location-filtered storefronts, orders route to a single accountable vendor, and every parcel leaves through a scan-and-OTP handover. Eight report types — sales, commission, payments, top vendors, product performance — mean the operator can see the business rather than guess at it.
